Or is it still Sunday night? I'm never sure when one starts and the other ends. From a naval point of view it'd be 4:00am with the start of the Morning Watch, so I guess this is still Sunday night. Anyawy it's one of those nights: didn't get to sleep until around 2:00, woke up just after 3:00 and now here I am. I feel terrible. Headache, sore throat, can't swallow, etc. so I dare say I'm coming down with the lurgy, which I can well do without. I can see I'll be croaking at my students today...

Never a day passes without garlic: rubbed raw on toast and drizzled with a little olive oil for breakfast if I'm feeling particularly anti-social!

The rum may have to wait a little while, but I do still have a drop of Nelson's Blood in my cupboard.

Sounds like you have the start of the flu bug. Plenty of liquid, and give your students something to read and rest the throat
