Followers of this blog will understand that the River Usk is responsible for my moniker, so is obviously close to my heart.
For anyone interested, the Usk begins its life in the high ground of the Beacons and flows right through the market town of Brecon before making its way through Monmouthshire and eventually to the Severn Estuary at Newport.
Pictured here at Brecon Weir, you will see the River Usk often deposits tree trunks and other debris washed down from the high ground at this point.
Brecon Weir
The above image was taken on a quiet day, but you should see the turmoil in my river when she's fat and swollen with mountain rain.
As you may note, I've now assumed ownership and taken control of My River. ![]()
Just thought I'd share this image of My River with you band of happy bloggers.
Time to hit a hot tub now before an early night with a good book.
