A man has been jailed for a week for stealing a poppy collection box from a bank in Prestatyn, Denbighshire.
David Archer, 51, from Rhyl, appeared before Llandudno magistrates, 20 minutes before the UK held a two-minute silence for the fallen on Saturday.

Pro Some people are so desperate they will do anything for money. Others are just plain greedy. I really g very annoyed when people steal from charity.

One of the boxes was stolen from the forecourt shop at a garage and the staff there were generously making up the lost money. I hope (but don't expect) that the thieves are caught and made to pay the money back out of their wages / dole money.

Good!!, it should have been longer ..or alternatively he should have been sent to Iraq or Afghanistan where our soldiers should be given permission to issue their own justice on him.

Pro I can tell you first-hand how vicious that justice would have been too. The military don't like this sort of thing at all.
