Pro I suspect anyone spotting a body streaking through the heavens tonight will probably be seeing the International Space Station, but you're right it has happened before...

Actually there is a star that appears brighter than the rest that appears in winter, not being an Astronomer I have no idea of what it is called, being a stargazer I am all too aware of its presence.
It outshines the rest and since it has been there for ever, well since I can remember, then it is no space station.

Pro Fair enough; the space station moves quicker than any star appears to move anyway and is only 'bright' when the sun's light bounces off it at the right angle.
