I certainly do relate to this unfortunate: he has all kinds of great experiences in mind, but somehow that always go tits up!

You see through me every time!

Make the most of that sunshine: the day dawned bright here, but its clouded over now and there's a tad of moisture in the air...
-
- Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 @ 10:32:36
but eee laddy.....it do brighten the heart and soul to see a bit of sun after so long.....really we've not had a peep of sun here......
Anyway so when did you do that particular parachute jump and bit of paragliding then....? did you manage to get the prickles out of your posterior?

Okay I admit I never did paraglide into a cactus patch although I could easily have nightmares along those lines!

I did do a jump for charity on one occasion with a bunch of other folk that frightened me half to death though; a really scary experience believe me...-
- Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 @ 10:51:04
I bet! I sometimes //toy// with the idea....well done for actually //doing// it though!

It's a great experience: thrill rides like Vertigo where you free-fall in a harness don't even come close. Just try to avoid jumping with other first-timers if possible.

my curiosity is piqued.....why??? do they thrash and panic?
-

- Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 @ 11:17:53
In a word, yes!
It wasn't up to me and of course the two in question had been through the training and paid for their jump, but I don't think they should have been allowed on the plane. I'm certain one was sick before we boarded and frankly they were a real pain with their antics and comments and I'm not normally the nervous type.-

I fully understand how some people get hooked on the sky-diving thing. It is an amazing sensation just falling through the air...

- Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 @ 11:42:52

Oh me too - almost made it this year, but the weather turned and the flight was cancelled. I will make it one of these days though.
That'll be the last of my non-powered air things; I had the opportunity to learn to fly a glider years ago and that was the first.

-
- Saturday, 30. Dec, 2006 @ 12:42:04
guess that hazard is always going to be possible...better luck next time....yes in a strong blustery gale you'd travel far too fast......

I don't know whether Juzzy finds his way over here very often, but you could always share it with him.
