Insomnias wandering ways, or The Devil Makes Work For Idle Thumbs

So there I was lying in bed at 2:30am this morning, wide awake and wondering what I was going to do with the rest of the night...

Well in the end I got up, as you do and wandered my way downstairs. I toyed with the idea of turning on the TV and subjecting myself to some midnight dross, which would be sure to put me to sleep. Decided I didn’t want to end up with a stiff neck though, so I answered a few Blog comments, posted a few Blog comments of my own, carried out a short email conversation with an old friend and then started playing.

Standing on my patio the other day I was taken by the way the sunlight was dancing in the droplets formed by my pond’s fountain.

While quite a pleasing image it’s not exactly inspiring, so I thought I’d play with it a while to see if I could enhance it: here follow the results...

I once caught dew on a spiders web in the early morning, sadly the photo has gone the way of many others, disappeared that is.

  I always think it's a real shame when images are lost and the moment is gone. I tend to back mine up to a seperate hard drive and also to DVD: belt and braces, so to speak.

    That would be great!! I can always find a use for images that make good cards.... (I make a fair few of my own, rather than buy.)

        1, 2, 7 and 9 would be my chosen ones. The 4 to an A4 sheet or the 9 to an A4 Sheet would both work well.

Mm I spotted you wandering around blogland in the early hours of this morning. The sights you see when you haven't got a camera is nobodies business! You looked a bit odd though wearing only that belt and those braces I almost blushed

Enjoyed this post too! I agree with Lone Mum's choices - 1,2 and 8 - very interesting as they don't look anything like droplets of water anymore but are still good pictures.

I was awake between 3am and 4am maybe I should have joined you.
