My mum (aged 86) now has pebbles instead of grass and they look different thoughout the day. They're particularly lovely when wet.
Is this a new pebble picture? - I seem to recall seeing one before. I may be wrong.

I've posted several pebble photographs here, but this is the first time this has one has appeared (there's one very similar to it on my web and that may also have been seen here too).
Quite a lot of folk have gone pebble ot chip instead of grass in their garden; it makes for easy maintenance and offers a constantly changing colour array, as you say.-

It looks like an abstract painting. I love stones and pebbles, they seem to have a life all their own.... now that really does sound weird!

Well perhaps not a life, but I do understand what you mean. It's not so much that they move around, but they do change with the light and even more so when moist.
