It’s almost at that time of year when I can go out and gather the main ingredients of one of my favourite puddings; blackberry and apple pie!

I’ve always loved the combination of flavours in blackberry and apple pie and for me it needs nothing else, although I’ll admit it tastes good with vanilla ice cream or good custard...

Well my mouth is watering now...

It seems this is a week for some good news, artistically a least. Yesterday my Blog pal Trolly announced she'd had a story accepted for publication in Mslexia; well done Trolly, I'm really pleased for you.

I also have a little announcement; I've been contacted by Michelin APA who want to use one of my images of Chepstow Castle in the next issue of the Michelin Tourist Guide Great Britain so I'm a really happy bunny.

This is the image in question and although I rather like it, I'd have to say it's not my favourite Chepstow image. Still I'm very, very pleased to b getting published in a Michelin guide.

Ha! I knew it...

I've been a bit surprised to see my blog featured on the BCUK home page from time to time, but especially so yesterday when the number of page views was so low. As yesterday was my birthday I decided BCUK was giving me a present.

So anyway the birthday is over now and here I am sleepless again despite the alcohol.

Anyway I just had a little peek and sure enough my blog is no longer featured. More than that there's no sign of it at all - hardly surprising perhaps with only 700 odd page views in the last 24 hours. So there we are; proof if proof was needed that my 'featured blog' spot yesterday was just a birthday present from BCUK.
