I've heard of Bare Beach

Talking of odd names, there's a hamlet not far from here called Bully Hole Bottom...

Ah yes - I remember sniggering at that on chilhood holidays. Not as good as the Sandy Balls camp site on the way from Windsor to Dorset though! My one chance in the year to say a Rude Word without my mum tutting!

Kids, eh? We're all the same!

Actually- yes! Nemo in the Port of Amsterdam; the structure looks like a ship sinking, its fore is perched at that classical angle. The upper platform/deck, which is presumably the roof, has been turned into a sandy beach for the kids summer holidays, the sand being brought in, risen up in loads (not sure how, I wasn't there at the time it was done)and dumped on the roof to create a bizarre looking play beach.
Usk, if you are so minded, would join in the concern that is being expressed about the use of our personal data by Blog D.E. My latest blog will give you the information and all the links. If you are in agreement, would you also cascade the information on to your friends. Thanks.-

It's good to know it isn't just the Welsh that do odd things!

Is this the birthday issue? I'll go and take a peek...-
- Monday, 10. Sep, 2007 @ 13:49:28
Yes, please do take a peek and follow Munzley's link. Life's-Lessons link is interesting to the Terms of Service, especially section 3.
I would say, the Welsh being a musical/artistic nation, eccentricity would be one of the desirable traits.-

I don't know if it's just me, but I seem to having some difficulty getting to some links in Blogland today. I'm going to have to give up and come back later I think.

The easiest thing would be to just go to my blog via your friends' list and pick it all up from there. (Could I have been blacklisted do you think?)

Gives me the impression of everything gradually sinking and sliding into the sea, and I bet mum's love their kid's playing on the tarmac in the heat of the summer, well, maybe not such a problem this year! ATB.C

-
- Monday, 10. Sep, 2007 @ 15:43:42
Is that man-made, or washed up bits of broken tarmac?
It's a bit weird either way.

It's man made; the only purpose built tarmac beach I've ever seen!

Talking of odd place names. Not far from here is a village called Wire Piddle. In the river nearby is a small island called Piddle in the Water.. Honest.

Why am I not surprised we fell off the edge - it's got to have been as a consequence of the Jammy Dodgers and the fig rolls.

Talking of beaches there is a Bare beach at Morecambe. Not a nudist beach though - Bare is an area at the eastern end of the resort. Incidentally it's near to Happy Mount Park where Noel Edmund put his "Crinkly Bottom"!
**This is all absolutely 100% true - honest!**
