This dod of wood was washed up on the foreshore of the Severn Estuary. I have no idea what tree it came from, but I loved the texture/colour...

Interesting photo, also interesting use of the word "Dod" - not a use common to East Anglia, where most people would take it as a shortening of "Dodman" meaning a snail.

  A regional thing perhaps... "dod" would mean "lump" or "chunk" in this neck of the woods.
