Hello all.

Apologies for not being here the last 24 hours and lack of Weekend Teaser today - my laptop caught a cold yesterday and I've been busy trying to clear its tubes and reinstate all my data... >:-(

I've said this before and I'll say it again... I'd love to get my hands on the mindless bastards that spend their time constructing computer viruses and spawning them in the wild. Bastards! :##

A word of warning to all - the bug arrived via a supposed "Microsoft authenticated active-X download". I don't use IE all the time and when this thing flashed up yesterday I read the Microsoft bit and said "yes"... BIG mistake! The bug interrupted my anti-virus, destroyed my network link, and god alone knows what else. Fortunately the firewall in my router closed the connection when the thing tried to access the outside world so no information was leaked from my PC, but the damage done to my file structure has been severe and I'm still working on that.

As you may imagine I'm pretty pissed off; especially since my AV software accepted my stupid decision to say "yes" to the install and allowed this bug to run riot on my 'puter! >:XX

Oh... I meant to say, I don't even know what the virus was called. To fix the problem I've had to zap my hard drive and reinstall all my software... it's a real pain. :**:

Ah well, back to work...
