I've been doing a little digging a little digging since my Do You Know Cornwall post on Thursday.

I was seeking information regarding the location this viaduct:

It looked initially as though it may have been the viaduct at Calstock (thanks to Munzly and Not-Herneschase). Then a suggestion was made that it may have been the viaduct at St Germans (thanks to David).

I've studied images of both viaducts and can now say with certainty my viaduct is the one at St Germans:

This was the image that finally swung me (found on Panoramio); the image is obviously taken from the same vantage point and the buildings and derelict quay on the left identify it positively.

The image was captured on the A374 between Looe and Torpoint; the viaduct crosses the River Tiddy.
