When I was a young chorister we almost always sang from the Ancient & Modern... I assume it is sill used in today's church, but it's many years since I last attended so can't be sure.

I'm a confirmed heathen these days, but I'm sure there's a lot of mileage to be had in going into the whys and wherefores here this morning...

Sorting through a few batches of old images though I came across this picture of a wooden footbridge over the Thames at Henley... and it reminded me of my old hymnal.

It amazes me how some folk seem to find it all but impossible to find an original title for their blog posts... still each to his own I suppose.

As it's a Sunday I thought I'd start the day with a less ropey old boat or two...

A lick of paint and a little sunshine go a long way towards a brighter day, don't you think?
