What's that all about then?

So there I was doing the ironing... >:-[ I know, domestic God me... :)) and this van drives down the street bellowing from its speaker system "this is Welsh Water please be aware due to a burst water main domestic water will be turned off in this area imminently..." I'd better fill my jug, I thought... don't want to run out of water while I'm ironing... :no: so off I toddle to the kitchen to fill my jug... meanwhile back in the lounge... I like to watch TV when I iron 'cos it makes the time pass quicker... :yes: I pick up a shirt and arrange it on the ironing board... phht! the power goes off... oh bugger! Now I can't finish my favourite chore... :lalala: :roll:

Of course the water hasn't been turned off all day, but the power was off for an hour or so... so I'm a bit confused... :??: is there something Welsh Water aren't telling me? Or have I been getting my water from the wrong power outlet all my life? :crazy:

If they're anything like the other utility companies they probably dug down to turn the water off and severed the mains...

that made me laugh...sorry...I appreciate it was inconvenient.....and there you are nursing a jug of water as the power goes off..... oh bless....hope it is all back on again....Next time ....when they really do turn off the water...make sure you have a candle handy eh?

        well it is only me and Tinks...and neither of us seem to notice or mind if things aren't ironed........I mean ....if it were for a special occasion...and the thing I was going to wear was in need of smoothing....I would iron it....but only in special circumstances.......

Ironing is pretty high on my list of hated tasks... I do only iron on special occasions, about four or five times a year!

Knickers only get ironed in the eventuality of them not being quite dry enough to wear.... (How did we get back to the subject of underwear again?)

I hates ironing and rarely do it opting for the scruffy look. Hubby does his own ironing and he is dang good at it.

Be careful if you need to iron any curtains, they take ages and you can fall out of the window!
