-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Wednesday, 26. Mar, 2008 @ 17:47:46
I like to eat curries almost as much as I like to cook them.

-
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 10:37:00
I wish we had a good curry house around here. We used to have, but of late I've noticed they're all turning out sweet thick sauces, I don't seem able to find the same 'heat & oil & fresh' type of curries I remember from the eighties.
-
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 10:42:43
and I dislike cooking so much I think people must be lie-ing (how do you spell that? ) when they say they like it! No, I'm joking, it's a passion I would think, but one I can't get my head around, in fact, I can understand people putting hooks through their bodies more than I can understand anyone liking standing over hot spitting greasy stuff, even if it does smell delish (but I do looooove good food!!!)
-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 18:12:40
Oh no cooking is lots of fun... especially if you cook in the manner of Keith Floyd.

How about 'lying'?-
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 23:30:35
Yes the Keith Floyd thing I've done, do, and enjoy, but the food isn't any better

Yes, why didn't I look just it up? I knew it didn't look right, thanks Usky
-
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 23:31:31
Oh dear, likes look I've been here on too long!
-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 02:21:09
Not sure why, but my food always tastes fantastic if I've cooked a la Floyd.

-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 10:22:46
I suspect your food always tastes fantastic Usky, and a la Floyd, most everythings fantastic isn't it?

-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 14:27:26
I'm not too shabby in the kitchen, but masterchef I'm certainly not. I'm in favour of good food... flavour is more important than presentation to me... not that I like it to look too messy of course!

-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 19:20:30
You see I have a problem in every department. I can't seem to put bits together to get nice flavours, too many, not enough, too much, can't get the timing right, some parts undercooked, other parts overcooked, and by the time it reaches the table it's all cold anyway, it all happens for me, I can turn perfectly good foodstuffs into a big inedible mess. When I was young even the birds wouldn't eat the swiss roll sponge I'd made, probably because it was like carpet underlay, and only a few months back I had to serve guests roast vegetables that were like the vegetable crisps I had in the cupboard! They all know what I'm like, I expect they eat before they come here! Oh well
(I have noticed people are very keen when I suggest we eat out these days!
) -
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 19:26:21
I can't believe things are really that bad, but hey if everyone wants to eat out why would you want to stand in their way?

-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 20:51:14
I wouldn't, I'd get flattened in the stampede! You can ask Mike, I'm not exaggerating, unfortunately

-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 20:56:25
Oh dear... that does sound bad.

-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 02:18:45
What? Your cooking doesn't get better with the Keith Floyd cooking method?
Damn you must be spilling too much girl!
-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 10:19:01
Sacrilage, no!! can't spill the nectar!! No, it's the food that gets spilt when I'm in the kitchen, gets everywhere no matter how clean and organised I try to be, another reason I hate kitchens/cooking. I like things clean and tidy and see food preparation as messy, sticky, yuk, hate it, and unfortunately no amount of lubricant helps it seems!

- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 14:25:14
Maybe you need some kitchen-type therapy sessions?
-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 19:02:23
No, I just need to be able to afford to eat out all the time! And, conveniently,
, I believe that to be a more ecologically friendly approach to sustaining the body! - therapy, what's that called when you're forced to confront something you don't like? No no no noooo
whatever happened to being true to yourself?

-

- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 19:21:38
It'd be interesting to have a lifestyle commensurate with dining out in style on a daily basis...

-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 20:44:17
Interesting!! It would be bloody lovely!!!! Actually, don't need the whole lifestyle thing, just the eating out. The whole lifestyle usually means excessive consummerism, too busy a schedule and people I'd most likely not appreciate. But no dishes, no mess, hehe, no cooking! Yayness!
-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 20:50:43
Oh I don't know... if you've got enough cash you can afford to be rude to the people you don't like!

-
- Sunday, 30. Mar, 2008 @ 13:37:02
Just wouldn't be me Usky. I don't like rude people and I wouldn't be comfortable myself if I were rude to others either, not a feeling I like, best avoid them, besides, I can't justify my own ills by others' acts, that gives others the power to determine how I live my life, an all too easy cop-out for taking personal responsibility!
Anyroad, lecture over! (Sorry, bit preachy today, must be the influence of the Jehovah's knocking at the door this morning!)
Hope you're well today Uskers, and how well did you sleep? At least you had one less hour to be waiting for everyone else today! Is the teaser answer up yet?
Hope you're having a good weekend, bit changeable still for getting out, sun here at the moment, but doesn't seem to last long.
Enjoy your Sunday lunch, whatever scrumminess you're having.
Catch you later, X.-

- Sunday, 30. Mar, 2008 @ 14:56:20
You're right Chassy, there's no need for rudeness.
I didn't actually get to bed at all last night... I have to say I'm feeling the effects of it now.
Dinner today will be roast garlic chicken with roast potatoes and some light veggies...
-
- Sunday, 30. Mar, 2008 @ 15:52:23
Oooh yuuuummmeeee! Sounds delish. Mike's just doing us a stirfry so I'll eat well today too!
No bed???
I'm sure you're feeling a bit spaced or wired by now. I like to do that sometimes if I'm 'allowed', though I presume you'd rather have slept if you could've?
Enjoy your dinner, as I'm sure you will, and maybe a bit of shut-eye after a nice merlot? Mike's just called, I'm off for mine now, yum yum!

Hope you enjoyed your stir-fry.

Have a lovely evening Chassy.
-
- Sunday, 30. Mar, 2008 @ 19:23:03
Thankyou Usky yes I enjoyed my fill, and there's some left so I wont starve tomorrow whilst left to my own devices

I've just popped back in but probably not for long, poor Mike's barely seen me this week
Are you still on-line? I'd've thought you'd've been stacking z's by now, what are we going to do with you?
Much longer and you'll start hallucinating, take care my friend
I'm going to check to see the results of the weekend teaser now, and sometime in the next few days I'll come back to pester you for the taggy blocky whatsit stuff if I may?
Have a good evening yourself Usky, and try to get some shut-eye. (You're not blogging too close to bed-time so your mind's still whirring away are you?
- hot milk with honey, used to work for me)
All the best for a good nights sleep Usky, see you tomorrow
X.-

- Sunday, 30. Mar, 2008 @ 19:32:52
I am online
but not for much longer because dinner is almost ready. :p
No-one's got the teaser right yet, so I thought I'd let it go a little longer...
Good idea to spend some quality time with Mike and yes of course, come and pester when you're ready.

The global taste for curry seems to have changed doesn't it? There are still some great restaurants around here though I'm happy to say.
-
- Thursday, 27. Mar, 2008 @ 23:25:41
Well I hope we can get over your way and share a good indian meal in one of your favourites sometime Usky.
Did I see something happening with Meno coming over? I know something's happening in May (presuming they're all open to all), and something later in the year. Is there anything happening this side?-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 02:10:11
Oh, just a joky thing with Meno really... she liked one of my 'photo walks' and suggested we do one taking in the pubs along the way...

But yes, if fancy coming this side of water for a meal there's an excellent restaurant just off junction 23 i'm sure you'd enjoy (early midweek).
-
- Friday, 28. Mar, 2008 @ 10:26:43
We'll plot that one in sometime then Usky,
would be lovely!-
