It's still a bit dark to see what the weather's doing outside as yet, but I can't hear any wind or rain against the window pane. Fingers crossed for a dry day today.
It'll soon be April and time for home wine makers everywhere to be gathering dandelion heads...
...and after a few glasses of "piss-the-bed" wine, who's the say things won't look a little strange?

That sounds really dangerous, and horrid, a three day hangover, yew! My older brother made 'champagne', I thought from a packet, when we were young and maybe forgot about it but at a party my younger brother (under the age limit) found it in the cupboard and drank it. He told us a long time after that he went to bed feeling ill and was hallucinating that either spaghetti or snakes where writhing around trying to strangle him! Poor bugger.

maybe you can advise me on a photo processing package. my daughter wants Photoshop CS3, but it costs a fortune. Any recommendations for alternatives?

Pro I use Photoshop myself (I have CS2) but it is terribly expensive. However there's some good news... unless your daughter is seriously into graphic design the cut down version of Photoshop is probably more than enough of a package - I'm talking about Adobe Photoshop Elements.
There's a superb imaging package available FREE too; it's called GIMP. GIMP is available in Linux, Mac and Windows versions and having used it myself I can attest to it's capabilities. Absolutely superb... especially for nothing!

will check out GIMP. I googled the Adobe package, and it looks good. On the radio yesterday they were featuring the new free on line version of that. Apparently however the catch is that you sign away all rights to your images.
But the Adobe package does come with a 30 day trial so I might suggest to her that she tries both packages. Thanks very much
