A night of fits and starts, but not one to complain about.

I woke up before 5.00 am myself. I often do, but I had slept well until then, which is good. I often have sleep problems as you do, but mine are due to old polio problems effecting my breathing.

I've wondered about a possible link to polio myself and discussed it with my GP. Yet another aspect to take into consideration... the list seems almost endless these days.

The problem with the polio connection is that very few doctors have any understanding or training in the matter. For a long while PPS (post polio syndrome)was regarded as just something in the mind, in the same way as they did with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome), but although there are similarities (in that they may both be caused by the long term after-effects of viral infections) they are distinct in that PPS is part of LEP (Long-term Effects of Polio), which includes physical problems as well as neurological ones. Unfortunately some medics call it one thing and others another. The only definitive data is held on the Lincolnshire Post-Polio Network which is where most of the informed medics go for their information.

Yes, I really should point my GP to the LPPN link. Thanks for reminding of that.

There are certainly some wonderful blooms around... if only the weather was a little more predictable it'd be perfect...

It's been a predominantly wet day here today, but the sun is out now and things are drying up again.
