I'm curious how you take these shots: do you have a macro lense? Or those rings whose name I can't remember in English (the ones you put between the camera and the actual lense)? And/or do you use a macro function on your camera? Or do you use a tele zoom?

Oh right, well, it all depends...
If I'm using a DSLR I sometimes use a macro lens on a very small subject. Otherwise I generally use a 50mm lens and just get in very close.
If I'm using one of my compacts I usually switch on the macro facility. That said, both my compacts focus in pretty close so if the subject is large enough I may not...
