Very disappointed.

Extremely disappointed in fact.

I considered shutting down Something for the Weekend a while ago, but kept the blog running because people asked for it. Well this weekend has seen the lowest ever response... just five people taking part...

The time has come to say Goodnight Vienna to an old friend.....
and put A Little Something for the Weekend to bed for the last time....

It has been fun... I've enjoyed the interaction and the word games... more than that I've enjoyed the obvious pleasure some people have shown when they got an answer right... but just 30 visitors have come to this week's teaser and only 5 have commented... oh well... nothing lasts forever...

    I couldn't see any feature that acted as a pointer in any direction, not even in the wrong direction.
    
    Also don't forget it's Whitsun weekend. I, for one, had grandchildren visiting, so less time to think about it.

Aww, don't be downhearted Usky. I think the whole country has gone on holiday this last week. It's been dead as a door nail on bcuk, it's like talking to yourself half the time, same when we went out shopping this afternoon - shops completely dead.

I wouldn't bin it mate, it brings joy to people. even if it 5, 30 or 3000 you're doing something worthwhile.

It must be said I'm completely useless at the Teaser.... but I love finding out what it was afterwards!

I suggest a nice holiday for the blog, let it go and frolick in the sun and sea and chill out. I bet it will come back full of the joys of spring ready to entertain us all again.

I'll be sad if u stop the teaser, i don't get up till late on saturdays then have to wait till natalie gets off the computer, even the kids have a go at guessing, this ones a hard one though couldn't guess will have another go x

Usky! I'm glad you've changed your mind. I'm in Lincoln at the moment and have managed to get my hands on a lappy, so have a moment to pop in - only to see no sign of Usky, and this!!! I'm relieved to see you've reconsidered - really. Your weekend teaser is something I look forward to checking out whenever I get a chance, even if I'm too late to take part. I like reading the comments, lots of amusement and keeps me thinking if I'm in time to play, so do keep it going, please!

I haven't been about much at all of late. When I have had the chance to log on I've been mostly involved in a couple of 'conversations' started a short while ago, but my main problem is the computer. I don't know if it's us or not but bcuk is running excruciatingly slowly, so frustration has kept me away quite a bit. (Looking at the speed of this lappy, I think it must be us - our server says all's ok, so do BCUK, and we've done all we know to clean things up our end, but to no avail, don't know where to go from there, so sort of given up ) Anyway, I guess I'd better get back to our hosts, but I hope you are ok Usky, have been missing our chats, but I click, I sit, I wait, I click, and still nothing moves, so I give up without having seen anything but the starts of posts - it's too frustrating when you haven't the time to mess about, probably would be if I had all the time in the world as well. Well Usky, I hope you've not been about because you're out doing something you like. Take it steady Usky, I hope to get back online soonish but I do think about you and my other blog friends often, you've all become part of my life now, so I hope when I manage to get back to some regular blogging you and everyone else will still be here jollying each other along. I'm missing all the fun at the moment, please still be here when I get back! Please please please please please, not just the teaser, all of it Usky, your posts keep a pleasant side of life alive for me whilst all around can be hell at times, so I hope to see you around soon.
