An Usky slant on a Welsh landscape

One of the things I'd been promising myself was a walk through a bluebell wood I remember from childhood...

Bluebells have always been a favourite of mine. As a child, I recall eagerly looking forward to collecting handfuls to take home to my Mum. Very naughty really, but we didn't know any better 50 years ago...

I always love the anticipation of seeing the blue carpets among the trees... the dappled light is so appealing too.

I feel sure there were more bluebells here when I was little... perhaps that's just wishful thinking or something...

And you know... I could have sworn the bluebells were more... well... blue...

Oh well, I've had my walk in the bluebell woods.

...and the sun is a shining...

I feel an outing coming on.
