- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:26:15
and Dan Dare ray guns....

-
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:36:16
My eldest brother had a Dan Dare radio transmitter type thing and him and his mate tried stringing up a connection between their bedrooms. This being pre wifi and them living on opposite sides of the street made things
nighimpossible!-

- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:44:50
The ray guns had communicators built in. They were made from red and yellow plastic and connected via thin red twine meaning you couldn't be more than about 6 feet away from your mate, if my memory serves me correctly, and God help anyone who got between you!

-
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:49:23
So glorified cocoa tins then!

- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:02:38
Very good!-
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:07:50
I have another but it's a bit rude!
I came across it when researching medieval carvings! It was something I read on Norfolk churches of all places! It even mentions a link with Welsh practices.-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:13:21
Perhaps you ought to share that with me privately then...
-
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:19:22
Here's a clue
"Sean the Sheep" - then replace the 2nd and 4th letters with h&g
It seems that there are church carvings depicting this 'pastime'-
- http://www.usksider.co.uk
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:25:39
I did wonder... but why would they put that in a church?
-
- Sunday, 22. Jun, 2008 @ 08:30:32
I don't know - I'll give you the link when I'm back at my own computer.

I apologise to the people of Norfolk

It was pigs they delighted in not sheep
But only in November!!!!
Gives new meaning to the phrase "a pig in a poke"
