I could be tempted by either right now...

I'll take the first. I have had enough of all that queing and endless lines of security checks. Hanging round departure lounges trying to keep away from the hoards of badly dresses for travelling British public. Sitting in a tin tube 30.000 feet up in the air surrounded by people chomping on something called an inflight meal that looks and smells like pet food. Then waiting for hours for your baggage to re-appear on a moving belt that hasn't moved for twenty minutes.
I'll take the countryside at best and maybe a cross channel ferry for a change.-

There's no denying the endless queuing at airports can be spirit sapping... I'd still take either right now though... although the British countryside is certainly far more accessible...

Ya know what, the countryside, because I can get there in minutes, seconds even...
Not saying I wouldn't like to go somewhere exotic but to be honest it's just to get some good pics

Funny... I just said something similar. Getting abroad to somewhere exotic would be nice, but a five minute walk from my front door has me in the countryside.

Abroad would be somewhere I went for a purpose, photos.
The countryside is where I go to be happy.-

It rather depends on the company - either could be heaven or hell!

A quiet walk with the dogs in the countryside for me. Easy enough, the common's just over the road from me and there's bits of it I still haven't explored, and I've lived here all my life!

It's funny isn't it, how we often ignore those things that are on our doorstep.

Definitely the first!
I've no inclination to jet off to anywhere nowadays! Cheers.
