It's always sounded pretty unlikely to me, but I have at least one friend who swears by it, and has a lettuce sandwich every night!
I think it's recommended more in the homoeopathic/holistic healing world.-

Scientifically speaking lettuce is very high in both calcium and iron. Calcium is a natural calming agent which induces sleep. There's nothing "alternative medicine" about lettuce sandwiches for sleeping. Personally I just take a calcium dietary supplement tablet, it's quicker...

Thank you very much dear Usky, i'm crossing fingers too... i don't smoke, i dunno why docs are doing this to me now when i'm start to live my life! well, maube is nothing. I'm already doing treat,emts just some make me vomit a lot and let me down.
I'l see another doc. today at 10h.am but there's a lot to do and see yet.-
