Ah...
There was a very silly TV series here about the resistance movement helping British fliers who'd been shot down during the last war; the series was called 'Allo 'allo.
Try the link... I think you'll find it amusing. The wet celery and flying helmet were the favourite sex aids of one of the main characters.
