Hand on heart I have to say I don't like them either...
...I'll never forget the one that ran across the ceiling one evening wearing pit boots so big you could hear each foot-fall... 
...and if that wasn't bad enough the bugger dropped off and fell onto the settee right beside me!

You know, I don't like it when they crawl over me but I am quite fascinated by spiders. They're so amazing - just look at your own photo! Well, all except the Cellar Spider - I hate those and kill them as soon as I find them!

Arachnids are certainly fascinating creatures and I find I can watch them for hours, but I still can't bring myself to like them. I don't kill them unless they encroach on my space... which to my shame includes finding members of the family Pholcidae creeping about in my shower!
