Maybe they put him there so people who are on their own will not feel lonely. He looks incredibly lifelike!

Pro Just after I sat down to enjoy my coffee a young girl tried to feed him ice-cream... of course I'd put my camera back in the bag and by the time I got it out again the kid had moved on.

Oh, next time i pass by Loule' i'l pay attention to the statues
This one is waiting for his morning coffee/expresso...or if it's afternoon is waiting for his fresh beer and the cooked/boiled snails...in Algarve and Alentejo, those two areas/ both South of Portugal love it! ..mmmm i don't poor snails!
But here in Lisbon and on North people like it too..well some, as others like me we don't like it at vall and never tried it ..snails..cz beer yeah a fresh one is really cool by summer time

Pro Oh yes he was certainly waiting for his coffee, but didn't seem to be in any hurry. He was enjoying the morning sunshine.
I have more photographs of sculptures from Loule; it seems an art rich area.

You know what we say in Portugal about people from Algarve and Alentejo?
That they are kinda lazy because they are like that man and they are the ones who say that have all the time in the world to do their stuffs so they are never in a hurry!
If you see there someone in a hurry is because is not a natural one from those two areas, really, that's true smart people huh? They enjoy the present, the life, not the hurry!

Pro I certainly don't remember seeing any of the locals in any kind of rush, that's for sure... except maybe one morning when I'd gone to the supermarket at 8:00am for bread and found the shelves empty and a queue of people waiting for the delivery van to arrive...
