Tuesday landscape

I thought I'd share another landscape with you today... and add a little detail too

This is one view of my local landscape... the road runs down the hill to a crossroads at the barn... my house is on an estate down the left tine... I'd be less than a mile from home taking this image.

The old barn you can see in the centre of the landscape has featured in a few of my images... and here it is again.

The barn has seen better days obviously, but still serves a purpose.

      Nothing much has changed... except perhaps the number of people wanting to drive cars along those quiet country lanes.

  I really like that old barn... not sure I can say why, it's just one of those buildings that appeals to me for no apparent reason.

Lovely! We lived in North Wales when we were first married - more rugged, but just as green - I used to wheel my then baby son in his pram down the lanes, with a wild flower dictionary in the Spring and a bag for blackberries in late summer!

  That conjures a wonderful image... I quite often see a young lady pushing her family around the local lanes, but I've never seen her with a reference book or a blackberry bag!

Once again the barn reminds me of the abandoned building of the homesteads on the prairie. Beautiful countryside, you are fortunate to live away from the city hustle and bustle.
