Wanna see my rock?

It's not really my rock of course, but I did post an image of a lump of rock with a feather stuck to it a few days ago... and thought you might like to see the whole rock

Llanfihangel Stone
This neolithic monument is just down the road from me and is known as the Llanfihangel Stone.

Don't be fooled by the horizon... I wasn't pickled... :no: ...the ground is rising :yes:

If you're good boys and girls I might just post a couple more images of this rather lovely cromlech. :yes:

    Some of them...those that lined up with the summer solstice...most probably to help them to know when to sow seeds, harvest and plough etc...some could have been ornamental...they just liked them like we put ornamental rocks and stones around our areas of habitation... no reason to presume that the old folks weren't creative as well...they had exactly the same brains as us...       Lots of people would argue the solitary stones were used as way-markers - I think I prefer the idea they may have been ornamental though.
